Ask the practice whether you need a referral from a GP before the first appointment. Find out whether a deposit is required before an appointment is held. Ask how the study is arranged, how long the wait is for a test date, and when the results are discussed. Ask what to bring: a medication list, any referral letter, a sleep diary, and results from earlier studies. If the practice sits inside a larger medical centre, ask which building and floor to go to. Ask who reviews the study results and when you will be told what they show. If telehealth is offered, ask which parts of the assessment can be done remotely and which need a visit. Use this page as a starting point, then verify the practical details with the practice itself.
