This policy explains what information Sleep Doctor Near Me collects, what we never collect, and what rights you have. We keep it plain because privacy should not require a lawyer.

## What we collect

- **Server logs.** Like almost every website, our hosting logs requests (IP address, browser, page visited, time) for security and performance. Logs are not used to profile visitors.

- **Doctor directory data.** The listings on this site are compiled from public sources — medical registries, health service directories and hospital websites — and contain professional contact details for named clinicians, not patient information.

## Location data (the "near me" search)

- **On request only.** If you tap "Use my location", your browser sends your latitude and longitude to our server for one search. That request is not preceded by any identifier — no cookie, no account, no advertising tag.
- **Not stored.** Your coordinates are used to sort results by distance and are then discarded. We do not write them to our database, to a log file, or to any analytics service, and we cannot tell you where you were afterwards.
- **Never shared.** Coordinates are not sent to third parties, to Google Maps, or to the practices you contact. We only publish the distance (a number in kilometres) between you and each listing.
- **You stay in control.** You can decline the location prompt and still browse every city page in the directory. Declining costs you nothing except the distance sorting.

## What we never collect

We never ask for health information. What you browse here is your business — the directory is public, so use it without judgement or password.

## Cookies

Where required by law (for example in the UK and Ireland), analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you consent via the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer. If no analytics services are configured, no tracking cookies are set at all.

## Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under GDPR (EU/UK), the UK GDPR, PIPEDA (Canada) or the Australian Privacy Act — you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Since this site collects essentially no personal data, these requests are usually trivial: contact us and we will confirm what (if anything) is held.

If we ever add services that change this policy materially, we will update this page and the version date below.
